Proper maintenance of Sonnax reamers is the best way to ensure their consistent performance and long life. Most important is removing the aluminum build-up along cutting edges that can occur quickly under certain conditions. Debris may not always be present in large amounts and may be very hard to see, but over time it will accumulate. Too much will make it difficult or impossible for the tool to cut correctly.
Checking regularly for build-up and cleaning it off can be done quickly and easily right at the bench. This video demonstrates how to:
