When installed, the head of the retainer for the secondary pulley/pressure regulator valve train stands proud of the valve body casting. The retainer must be removed prior to mounting the casting on the VB-FIX to allow the casting to sit flat on the fixture. Sonnax recommends removal of the complete secondary pulley/pressure regulator valve train before mounting the casting on the VB-FIX.
Vehicles equipped with Jatco/Nissan JF015E (RE0F11A) transmissions commonly have TCC apply and release concerns that can be traced to problems in the torque converter lube regulator valve bore. Wear in this bore allows critical fluid to escape from the circuit, resulting in engine stall on engagement, increased RPM during acceleration, no TCC lockup, overheated fluid, poor lube oil control and ratio codes.
Reconditioning the bore and installing Sonnax oversized torque converter lube regulator and plunger valve kit 33741F-05K can banish such issues for renewed TCC control. It features a hardcoat anodized aluminum valve to resist premature wear.

Vacuum testing at the port(s) indicated fails to hold the recommended minimum in-Hg, or if wear is visually detected.
