Symptoms:

Engine stall on engagement

Cause:

Wear of the torque converter lube regulator valve and bore allow pressure deviations preventing proper control of TC and lube functions.

Correction:

Re-establish oil pressure control and renew TC and lube operation by reconditioning the bore and installing Sonnax oversized torque converter lube regulator valve kit.

Vehicles equipped with Jatco/Nissan JF015E (RE0F11A) transmissions commonly have TCC apply and release concerns that can be traced to problems in the torque converter lube regulator valve bore. Wear in this bore allows critical fluid to escape from the circuit resulting in engine stall on engagement, increased RPM during acceleration, no TCC lockup, overheated fluid, poor lube oil control and ratio codes.
