Anatomy of a Transmission: Oil Flow in the Pump-PR-Converter-Cooler Lube Circuits
Gregg Nader
Vehicles equipped with Jatco/Nissan JF015E (RE0F11A) transmissions commonly have TCC apply and release concerns that can be traced to problems in the torque converter lube regulator valve bore. Wear in this bore allows critical fluid to escape from the circuit resulting in engine stall on engagement, increased RPM during acceleration, no TCC lockup, overheated fluid, poor lube oil control and ratio codes.
Reconditioning the bore and installing Sonnax oversized torque converter lube regulator valve kit 33741F-04K can banish such issues for renewed TCC control. It features a hardcoat anodized aluminum valve to combat premature wear.
Sonnax valve body layouts provide a detailed overview of individual units making it quick and easy to determine what’s available for the specific valve body you’re working on. See all Sonnax valve body layouts.
