Valve Body Xpress
Sonnax heavy duty remanufactured valve body F098HD is built to overcome chronic shift and converter clutch apply complaints. It provides firmer shifts and a moderately increased pressure curve to improve performance, especially in truck and towing applications.
Numerous Sonnax valve upgrades are included to restore hydraulic clearances that lead to shift complaints, clutch distress, converter complaints and codes, solenoid issues and pressure problems. Line pressure rise has been moderately increased to overcome shift complaints, delayed engagements, and to increase holding power to the clutches.
A valve body stiffener plate at the 2-3 accumulator area is added to prevent leakage or damage at the separator plate that creates forward and direct clutch failure. High performance 1-2 accumulator springs are also included with the product to improve shift feel.
To guarantee the highest level of operational performance, this remanufactured valve body is tested on state-of-the art equipment to verify that solenoid feed, clutch, converter and line pressures match or exceed OE specifications.
The valve body includes the following:

The valve body stiffener plate in the 2-3 accumulator area was eliminated on ’01-later Ford 4R70E, 4R70W, 4R75E and 4R75W transmissions. Sonnax adds a custom 2-3 accumulator support plate on these valve bodies. The addition of this plate eliminates separator plate cracking and cross-leaking.
