Sonnax remanufactured valve body TOY181 has been designed to address common issues, such as: B1 and/or B2 brake clutches burned, 2-3 or 4-3 bind-ups, slips or flares, delayed or harsh engagements, erratic shift timing, soft/harsh shifts, burnt clutches, TCC codes, lube failure, and burnt converters.
Due to the critical nature of the linear solenoids in regards to clutch overlap pressures and shift timing, solenoids are individually repaired, cleaned and then tested on state-of-the art equipment to verify that output matches the OE pressure curve and shift overlap timing is correct.
To guarantee the highest level of operational performance, the tested solenoids are then assembled to the repaired castings, and this remanufactured valve body is tested on the same sophisticated equipment to verify that line pressure, clutch pressure, torque converter pressures, lube pressure and shift timing match OE performance.

The valve bodies CANNOT be interchanged. The linear solenoids are different in size. The electrical connectors on the linear solenoids are different shapes and the internal harness will not plug into the wrong valve body.
Verify which version is required prior to installing a remanufactured valve body by:

The linear solenoids on the '01–'03 version of this valve body are larger in diameter than the '04–'16 version. A 7/8" open end wrench can be used as a "go/no go" gauge. The smaller linear solenoids on the '04–'16 version will fit into the open end of a 7/8" wrench, but the larger linear solenoids on the '01–'03 version will not.
