In vehicles with listed ZF transmissions, the OE latch valve end plugs are designed to prevent critical solenoid control pressure loss by capping and sealing the bore, while also functioning as a spring retainer. Repetitive spring motion and fluid pressure variations cause wear between the latch valve end plugs and bore surfaces, allowing critical solenoid control pressure to escape the circuit. In the case of these latch valve end plugs, solenoid control fluid is routed to all five of these plugs which exasperates the fluid leakage problem.
Sonnax O-ringed latch valve end plug kit 35740-44K services all five bores in ZF8HP50, ZF8HP75 and ZF8HP95 valve bodies. The O-ringed end plugs replace damaged OE plugs and restore solenoid control pressure containment to the bores.
