GM Gen. 1 6T70/75 transmissions often suffer shift abnormalities caused by excess wear in the actuator feed accumulator piston bores. This wear allows actuator feed limit fluid loss which prevents proper regulation of oil pressure supplied to control solenoids, resulting in harsh or soft shifts, solenoid codes and clutch failure.
Installing Sonnax actuator feed accumulator piston kit 124740-73K renews the hydraulic integrity of this circuit, restoring normal shift operation and feel. This drop-in sleeve/piston assembly provides a new and unworn bore for hydraulic sealing of the valve. The sleeve incorporates an O-ring which provides a positive seal to prevent leakage even in worn bores.
Sonnax valve body layouts provide a detailed overview of individual units making it quick and easy to determine what’s available for the specific valve body you’re working on. See all Sonnax valve body layouts.
