Lay the perfect foundation for work trucks and muscle cars alike with premium remanufactured valve bodies from Sonnax. Heavy duty remanufactured valve body GM054-HD prevents input sprag and forward clutch failure by engaging overrun clutch in D4 1st, 2nd and 3rd Gears and D3 1st and 2nd Gears for added holding capacity. This is a great advantage when towing, as there is no need to drop down to D3 for enhanced holding power when cruising at highway speeds and wanting more throttle.
Ideal for vehicles with increased horsepower and torque, GM054-HD is built to overcome chronic shift and converter clutch apply complaints. It provides firmer shifts and a moderately increased pressure curve to improve performance, especially in truck and towing applications.
Numerous Sonnax valve upgrades are included to restore hydraulic clearances that lead to shift complaints, clutch distress, converter complaints and codes, solenoid issues and pressure problems. Line pressure rise has been moderately increased to overcome shift complaints, delayed engagements, and to increase holding power to the clutches.
To guarantee the highest level of operational performance, this remanufactured valve body is tested on state-of-the art equipment to verify that solenoid feed, clutch, converter and line pressures match or exceed OE specifications.
The valve body includes the following:

The two accumulator springs are the same, colors may vary. These springs provide a "stock" shift feel to any previous alterations. The modifications made to prevent input sprag and forward clutch protection in OD could result in a slight coastdown shift feel difference, which is minimized with the installation of the servo cushion spring.
