Vehicles equipped with Jatco/Nissan JF016E (RE0F10D) and JF017E (RE0F10E) transmissions commonly have TCC apply and release concerns that can be traced to problems in the torque converter lube regulator valve train. Wear in plunger valve and sleeve allows critical fluid to escape from the circuit, and can result in overheated fluid, stall on engagement, no lockup, jerking on coastdown and overheated transmission and converter.

Vacuum testing at the port(s) indicated fails to hold the recommended minimum in-Hg, or if wear is visually detected.
