Warning:
There are two versions of the Ford 6R60 torque converter friction plate: early and late.
Using Sonnax friction plate FD-CP-15A instead of the early version friction plate is recommended because the early, six-leaf, spring-style plates are prone to failure.

The Ford 6R60 and 6R75W torque converter contains a captive clutch plate that is riveted to the cover. The rivets are formed using the front cover material and thus not usable once the clutch is removed.
The Sonnax FD-FN-6K clutch plate fastener kit enables you to quickly, easily fasten the clutch back onto the cover.
