Vehicles with listed Toyota/Lexus transmissions may exhibit converter apply/release complaints, slip codes, overheated fluid or a burned converter. These problems may be caused by continuous oscillation of the steel lockup control boost valve within the cast aluminum boost sleeve, creating excessive wear and a path for converter/cooler fluid to exhaust and the lockup control valve to stroke prematurely.
