Hydraulics Fundamentals Part V: Manual Valves
Jim Dial
Many KM series Mitsubishi transmissions experience loss of converter charge and cooler flow in Park. This often creates delayed engagement in cold conditions. The end result is seen as lube failures, pump or converter hub bushing spin-out and/or converter overheating. These complaints are generally caused by line pressure exhausting and not charging the converter when the selector lever is in park. Sonnax offers redesigned manual valve 41750-03.
