Anatomy of a Transmission: Oil Flow in the Pump-PR-Converter-Cooler Lube Circuits
Gregg Nader
A worn secondary pressure regulator valve in a TF-80SC or TF-81SC transmission can result in compromised converter/lube circuit pressure resulting in overheated fluid, bushings and torque converter. Driveability issues include harsh Reverse, TCC slip and codes, and poor shift quality. The Sonnax oversized secondary pressure regulator valve kit 39741-11K is designed to correct the pressure outputs from the valve and restore hydraulic integrity of the SLT circuit.
Sonnax valve body layouts provide a detailed overview of individual units making it quick and easy to determine what’s available for the specific valve body you’re working on. See all Sonnax valve body layouts.
