Symptoms:

  • K1 Clutch burned
  • Coastdown Neutral
  • Delayed Forward
  • Gear ratio & solenoid codes
  • Erratic shift timing
  • Flare shifts
  • Harsh shifts

Cause:

Wear in C1/K1 clutch control bore allows circuit pressure loss, preventing proper hydraulic actuation of C1/K1 clutches.

Correction:

Recover hydraulic control and renew shift performance by reconditioning the bore and installing Sonnax oversized C1/K1 clutch control valve kit.

Vacuum testing at the port(s) indicated fails to hold the recommended minimum in-Hg, or if wear is visually detected.
