Symptoms:

  • Lockup shudder
  • TCC cycling
  • TCC codes
  • Burnt converter
  • Harsh downshifts
  • Harsh engagement

Cause:

Wear at the TCC control plunger sleeve allows pressure loss that causes TCC problems. Wear at the low brake switch boost sleeve causes harsh downshifts.

Correction:

Restore proper TCC or Low brake function by installing Sonnax drop-in TCC control valve/Low brake switch boost valve kit.
