Anatomy of a Transmission: Oil Flow in the Pump-PR-Converter-Cooler Lube Circuits
Gregg Nader
Toyota/Lexus vehicles equipped with U660E and U660F transmissions often exhibit several common concerns related to wear in the lockup control valve bore. Oscillation of the lockup control valve and stroking of the plunger valve in its sleeve results in wear that prevents full hydraulic control of the lockup circuit. TCC slip, RPM surge, harsh downshifts and slip codes can accompany the TCC apply/release concerns which develop in these cases. Sonnax oversized lockup control valve kit 47740-30K allows the bore to be refurbished, restoring normal TCC operation.
Sonnax valve body layouts provide a detailed overview of individual units making it quick and easy to determine what’s available for the specific valve body you’re working on. See all Sonnax valve body layouts.
